The Bose® Lifestyle® 38 Series III DVD system is designed to listen, learn and adapt to your entertainment preferences, all while delivering Bose® quality sound. Our ADAPTiQ® audio calibration system analyzes and adjusts your Lifestyle® system to account for unique room acoustics.

The innovative uMusic™ system stores and organizes up to 200 hours of music, and you can hear that music in up to 14 additional rooms throughout your home with Bose® link. An elegant media center features an integrated progressive scan DVD player and AM/FM tuner. And Direct/Reflecting® cube speaker arrays combine with a newly designed horizontal center channel speaker to fit easily in your room.

The Lifestyle® 38 III DVD system advances a legacy of performance, elegance and simplicity with proprietary technologies that make listening easy and exciting. The ADAPTiQ® audio calibration system evaluates your room's acoustics and where your speakers are placed. Then it automatically adjusts the sound to your room environment, ensuring consistent Bose quality performance.

Now, consider that CD collection you've compiled for years. Why let it eat up space when you can have thousands of songs right at your fingertips? The Lifestyle® 38 III DVD system features the uMusic intelligent playback system to digitally store up to 200 hours of your music. While you're listening to your CDs, the uMusic system learns your preferences so it can automatically select and play the songs you enjoy. No menus, no playlists, no computer.

All of this technology resides in one elegant media center, featuring an integrated progressive scan DVD player and AM/FM tuner.

Enjoy Bose sound throughout your home
All Lifestyle® DVD systems are equipped with Bose® link to bring Bose sound to as many as 14 additional rooms, even outdoors. Simply add compatible Bose products for access to your entire music collection from any room in your home. You can choose from two audio streams in any of these rooms and enjoy independent volume control, as well.

Small speakers, big performance
Direct/Reflecting® cube speaker arrays stand just over 6" high, but provide thrilling, enveloping sound for everything you listen to or watch. A horizontal center channel speaker locks dialogue on screen and provides an aesthetic match for flat-panel televisions. These small speakers work in concert with the proprietary Acoustimass® module —now 30% smaller than the previous model— to fill your room with lifelike surround sound.

The Acoustimass module produces resonant lows that add impact to action sequences and depth to musical selections. Just place it in a corner or behind furniture, and all the sound seems to come from the center channel and cube speaker arrays.

You'll even enjoy more from your VHS favorites. Videostage® 5 decoding circuitry and digital 5.1 decoding give you a 5.1-channel presentation from practically any source, including vintage TV and movies.
