The AVR-1707 combines solid Denon construction, plenty of convenience features, and all the processing you need for thrilling surround sound — whether you're enjoying movies, TV, music, or video games. Thanks to 75 watts x 7 channels of Denon's acclaimed high-current amplification, you'll always be treated to clear, dynamic sound. The versatile '1707 also provides great extras like dual-room/dual-source output, XM Satellite Radio capability, iPod integration, and an auto calibration feature that makes accurate home theater setup quick and easy.

Advanced entertainment options
The '1707 not only delivers outstanding sonic performance, it also helps you keep in touch with the latest digital music sources. Just add a special antenna (not included) and an XM subscription to enjoy access to more than 170 digital channels of music, news, talk, and sports. It's even compatible with XM's new HD Surround channels, which deliver music in multichannel sound. Or use the optional ASD-1R control dock to integrate your iPod into your home theater system. You can listen to your iPod's tunes through your best speakers and view its song titles, playlists, photos, and video on your TV.

Accurate and easy speaker setup
Properly calibrated speakers are key to maximizing your home theater experience. The AVR-1707's convenient Auto Setup function automatically fine-tunes your system's performance for optimal sound with your specific speakers and room. Just plug in the included microphone and place it in your favorite listening seat — the '1707 takes care of the rest, adjusting the level and delay settings for each of your home theater system speakers.

Component video conversion
Along with easy speaker setup, the AVR-1707 can simplify your system's video connections. Component video conversion lets you send all video to your TV through a single component video connection — streamlining TV hookup and switching between video sources. That means you can switch from your cable box to your DVD player with the press of a single button on the receiver's remote — no more fumbling through input menus on your TV.

Versatility and convenience
Dual-room/dual-source capability lets you enjoy home theater in your main room while a housemate enjoys music in another room — the '1707 can even power stereo speakers in your second room. You also get a multibrand remote with glow-in-the-dark buttons for easy control of every component in your system, even in low lighting.
