Color without compromise
Mitsubishi's unique 6-color light engine is the key to the WD-57733's extraordinary color. Instead of using only the red, green, and blue primaries to create all colors, this system adds three "sub-primary" colors to improve accuracy (click Photos tab, above). The high-speed color wheel actually has six different colored filter segments. This innovative approach produces a brighter, wider range of colors, as well as whiter whites.

Built-in tuners for HD reception, plus inputs for HD expansion
The WD-57733 has built-in tuners to pull in local digital and analog over-the-air broadcasts (antenna required). Plus, a "QAM" tuner allows cable subscribers to watch unscrambled channels — even HD in many areas — without a set-top box.

You'll find a 6-pack of of HD-compatible connections: 3 HDMI and 3 component video. The HDMI inputs are the latest version 1.3 type, providing increased audio and video bandwidth for greater home theater realism. Also, HDMI 1.3 makes it possible to control other compatible HDMI-equipped gear using the TV's remote.
