What is Surround Sound?
Surround sound audio is, simply put, sound that completely surrounds you. It projects high-quality digital sound from all angles just as though you were in a theater.
A typical surround sound system would include five to seven speakers, a center speaker, and a subwoofer for powerful bass. The terms 5.1, 6.1, and 7.1are used to categorize a surround sound system based on the number of speakers used.
