What is Universal remote?
A universal remote is a remote control that can be programmed to operate several consumer electronics devices. Low-end universal remotes can only control a set number of devices in comparison to Mid- and high-end universal Remote controls that can manage several components. Mid- and high-end universal remotes allow the user to program in new control codes to the remote to allow for “macros”, or a series of commands, to be written which will allow for a series of events to occur with a single push of a button. Higher-end remotes may incorporate a color touch panel screen which can be programmed to display your favorite TV channels, radio stations, etc.
